I have never wrote a book so I want to start off as a childrens book. People say they like my writing very much because it has detail and humor, but it was only school writing.

What to do to make a children book? Tips?
Im not going to publish it I just want to have a nice book to read and to share with my friends and family.

Start off with a outline of the tale, write it out with illustrations if included. Then you can get it published, you don’t need a published agent and all that hassle. A small fee would have it bind and ready.
My friend is a comic artist, he drew out a tale and had it published locally. Then he tried to submit copies of it to competition and contest. ^^ Pleased writing. You can also published it on a website so other people can see your work!
Read children’s books and get an thought of what those books are like. Look for things such as word use, moral/lesson, plot line. All of these must be simple and clear.
