For people with small kids, would your kids like a picture book that’s scary? Are there any out there?

Just curious do small kids like scary tale books? I’m not talking anything gory or really terrible just camp tale sort of stuff. My one niece who’s about 5 seemed to like to tell scary tales and I thought she would like a picture book like that. Are there any excellent scary picture books? Would you buy them for your kid? Is that excellent for kids?

Yes there are a few books out there that i guess could be called scary. For example: Where the Wild Things Are, The Nightmare Before Christmas. I’m sure if you go to libraries or a book store you can find cute small gost tales or scary books. The books i told you are more of a fun scary book that kids like.
Where the Wild Things Are
In general, I don’t approve of scary books for young children. They have difficulty separating reality from fantasy and then have very terrible nightmares and even daytime fears.
