Grab the right tales. Get a book of Hauntings in your state. I know many areas have some fantastic ones. West Virginia has tons about the coal miners. North Carolina has a bunch from the Outer Banks. Ancient towns like Savannah and Charleston have a lot as well.
I always reckon the right tales are the best.
