I purchase books second hand and would not let my daughter play with them unless they had a thorough cleaning.

I prefer to use clorox wipes, its easy and works well on the board books.

My aunt, however, prefers to use a cotton cloth and rubbing alcohol.

I always use lysol wipes on them... it seems to get them clean, and it doesn't ruin them, also using a damp cloth with bleach should work, but make sure you wipe it off with just a wet cloth when your done.

I would use a very small amount of antibiotic hand scrub stuff. And make sure you wipe it dry with a paper towel so the color doesn't bleed/pages dont stick.

Try it on only one book though and let it dry. It will be clean of course but that way you dont ruin all the books if it doesn't work.
