You don't have to be a homeschooling family to buy them, but you'll have to do some digging. Most homeschoolers don't use the same texts as a public school, since homeschool texts are formatted differently (for a smaller class or individual work). I would get the title, publisher, and publication date out of each of his texts, and then get on the net and find out if you can get them. Please note - they don't come cheap. Some of my son's homeschooling texts for middle school are upward of $35-70 a pop, I know that public school texts are around the same costs.
