Left Behind for teens.
The Mandie Series.
Their about a teenish girl living in oldish America. She’s part Cherokee Indian, goes to boarding school, has a rich aunt, and likes to solve mystery. They’re fiction but they contain Christian life messages.
I know you just questioned for a list of books…but i just wanted to throw this in there….Theres this cartoon/movie called the Kingdom Chums Original Top 10 (10 commandments with songs) and its so cute…i used to like it…just thought you might like to check it out…there are clips on youtube.com too.
The hideous series. (weird name i know : ) The bible and stuff like that. Twilight is the best thoughh! A few cuss words but the 10-11 year ancient should be able to handle it.
veggie tales. they teach children a lot abotu god but they have fun from all the amusing and cute cartoon characters. they make it sound like a fun while the children learn a lot. and the books are unisex
The Chronicles of Narnia -
This series looks excellent – Grandma’s Attic
Set for young women of faith – various titles
Women of the West series
Brown Angels: An Album of Pictures and Verse
Hugs for Mom: Tales, Sayings, and Scriptures to Encourage and Inspire
A Young Woman’s Guide to Making Right Choices by Elizabeth George
God’s Wisdom for Small Girls by Elizabeth George
My daughter is 7 years ancient and for Easter I gave her “Sweet Dreams Devotions – God’s Small Princess Devotional Bible” by Sheila Walsh. It has several of the “major” bible tales condensed down to a 2-page tale, then the next 2 pages offers an explanation of that tale using modern thoughts/concepts; then it gives a small prayer/promise related to the theme of the tale.
My daughter likes it – we have incorporated this into our bedtime routine. We usually read and discuss 1 or 2 of the tales depending on our time schedule.
