Help on a Geography Summative Childrens Book?

Hi there,
For a Geography Summative, my task is to write a childrens book about Global Warming, but I am unsure of how to do that without scaring the younger generation.
If anyone could give me any thoughts about what the book could be about, then that would be fantastic.
The book is to be approximately 6-8 pages & as much detail you can give is appreciated as well.

Over the next 10 to 20 years most of the kids will just unlearn everything you teach them and become somewhat disillusioned at the left wing bias in schools.
If you’re worried about writing too much of a dread-mongering book, talk about the actual problem of global warming for only a few pages and leave the rest of the book for a more positive perspective of what they can do to help ease the problem. Excellent luck.
N.B. Use illustrations to lighten the mood of the book, but make sure you make the issue of global warming clear.
