I don’t know of any links, but the main thing would be minimal words and LOTS of pictures… the patterns and colors used, etc.

You might find some info here:

  3. This should help. You might also look in Stephen King’s On Writing. He was a comic book fan and talks a lot about how comics influenced him. Pax-C

Wiki, as usual, has many entries through which other helpful links can be found.
One is in “External Links” under “Cartoon Research Library”… a disappointing entry, but an fascinating-looking link of the same name under “External Links.”
Once you are on that home page, try clicking on ‘FAQ’ (for frequently questioned questions that may be helpful), on ‘Online Resources,” which REALLY should be helpful, and whatever else you may want to follow.

This link looks helpful as well, since it offers ‘entry’ to such ‘places’ as “Program Info” and “Zac and Deb” and “Blackline Masters”…I clicked on a couple of those and see that this outfit is well into selling the thought that kids learn reading better if books include many excellent illustrations, if not really being comics.
This could also lead to more links if you find them buried in there, where links often are. (Buried, that is.)

There is also “Comic Conventions” to look at in Wiki, with a fantastic many links to explore, but I just didn’t stumble on the right ones to lead you to. You may want to place these search words into Wiki as well, but, and see if you can find a helpful link for at least a quote or two.
I did the best I could. Hopefully more folks have chimed in with more links for you.
    Luck–
